Over 20% of North Americans live with chronic pain, and another 20% live with and care for someone with chronic pain. Isn’t that amazing? And so little is really known about this disease that so many of us live with every day, three hundred and sixty-five days of the year.
There, I’ve given you the essential statistic on chronic pain. Now, I’d like to welcome you here, a place I hope you’ll visit often as you take on the management of your chronic pain. You are in charge, you know. You’re also the bravest, most courageous person on planet earth.
That’s two of the major points in LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH CHRONIC PAIN.
Please feel free to browse this site. I believe you’ll find something interesting you may or may not have known about chronic pain. If you like, I’d love to hear from you, if not on this visit, on another. Just click on the contact button at the top of this page.
If you go to my blog you will hear about the whole scary process of writing LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH CHRONIC PAIN. And it was scary because talking about my journey through the wilderness or darkness of chronic pain into the light of living well with chronic pain meant that I had to write about things that still have the power to hurt me.
But there’s the best part. Those things that caused me emotional pain no longer hold so much sway over my life. I have taken on the management of my pain, and live well with chronic pain. You can too.
Just remember that you’re worth every bit of effort it takes to make your life with chronic pain a good one.
